Kerry Sweeps the Tuesday Contests
John Kerry won 5 out of 7 primaries this week. We still have
to wait to see how much of the south Kerry can carry. Edwards
and Clark each won southern states and made a big deal about
it. If southerners are so narrow minded that they will never
vote for any non-southern candidate then I'll definately have
to quit the country.
Election Agreements
My pal Bob sent me a link to take a quiz and see how much
the candidates agree with you. Previously, the media has led
me to believe that the only thing that I had in common with
Kucinich was veganism. After taking the quiz, I guess he's
the only candidate that's close to my views. He is expected
to drop out before I get a chance to vote, so I suppose my
only hope is that the front runner adopts some of his positions.
I have 85% in agreement with Kerry, plus the whole tall guy
affinity and as Irwin guessed it, only a 7% agreement with
the religious extremist in the white house.
The
Age of Imperialism
Death Toll Higher Than Ever
This is starting to feel like such a broken record as more
Americans died because Bush lied. I heard it mentioned that
the death toll is now over 500 Americans. For every one soldier
killed at least three are injured. Bush's Republican party
continues to gut the veteran's administration's funding. I
guess it's their way of showing their true support of our
troops.
American Soldiers In Iraq Are Waiting Too Long For Medical
Attention
This
article claims that suicide rates among people in the
military have increased significantly and that even when troops
return to America, they have to wait quite a while for proper
medical care of any kind.
Priorities
Republicans are far more interested in fixing schools, roads
and infrastructure in Iraq instead of fixing schools, roads,
and infrastructure in America. They talk a good game, but
when it comes down to spending any real money to address the
needs of American veterans, elderly, working people or job-seekers,
the Republicans gut adequate funding of vital services to
help out corporations and the hyper-rich.
