FDA says Clones OK
A senior official of the Food and Drug Administration said
today that he saw no reason to place special labels on milk
and meat from cloned animals if those products reach grocery
shelves. Contrary to what the FDA says, there is no level
of 'acceptable risk' when it comes to putting unproven science
on the table for dinner....
Fire Season Hits Full Swing
Fourteen fires in California, burning over an area of 600,000
acres near Los Angeles and San Diego, have led to thousands
of people being evacuated from their homes. More than 2,600
houses have been destroyed and about 20 deaths recorded...
Retro Costume
When I was growing up, most of the kids in my neighborhood
were fairly uncreative. Instead of thinking long and hard
about what you wanted to be for Halloween, you'd run with
your parent to the store at the last minute, and grab a prepackaged
costume made by Ben Cooper or Collegeville of some famous
character. Superheroes, Monsters, and Star Wars characters
were usually the favorites, but every now and then you came
across a few gems that really made you scratch your head...
Halloween
I got into the holiday mood with a scary movie, a scary car
ride and a really fun costume party...
 Irwin's
B-Day Party
Irwin's mum still lives in Healdsburg and he's got a bunch
of old friends up there, so he put together a little dinner
in Santa Rosa to celebrate. His actual b-day is next Wednesday,
but the weekend before worked better. The food was good and
it was really nice to meet his mum and other brother in addition
to some of his other friends.
