School
We had our final quiz this week. It represents 20% of our
grade, so I was a little nervous. It covered material from
the week I missed and 7 other chapters, so I reread huge sections
from the book and reviewed my class notes. I think I did pretty
well. After the 20 question quiz, the instructor let students
ask him about questions from the quiz. He covered about 8
questions and I know I got them all correct except for one.
Considering that it's less than half, plus the extra credit
questions, I think I did quite well with it.

Almost Spring
It rained a little bit this week, not as much as it was supposed
to, but still far too much for the height of Spring. It stayed
frigid even when the sun managed to make an appearance and
left me wavering between winter blues and summer blahs. Because
summer is so cold around here, Spring is our last chance at
warm weather before Autumn baring any miracles of course.

The
Age of Imperialism
Illegitimate Empire
The Shrub's administration went back to the UN Security
Council this week begging for approval of their illegal military
action in Iraq. By asking the UN to legitimize their actions,
the US is admitting that their actions are illegitimate in
an international context. It seems a strange thing to do when
only a month ago the Shrub claimed the UN was totally irrelevant.
Teen Free
Imperial forces in Cuba reported this week that they will
release several children being detained as enemy combatants.
The children while in their teens are all under the age of
consent. Because they aren't white or American children, they
were held without legal consul or parental contact and even
after their repatriation to Afghanistan or Pakistan, no one
will ever know who they are.
DR Germ
Imperial troops in Iraq reported the capture of a lady called,
"Dr. Germ" this week. Apparently she's a chemical
weapons expert. Of course they let all of the Lockeed Martin
and other American chemical weapons experts have free reign
over several western states.
