Workin' It

This week I finished the assignment at the faltering dotcom. There were rumours of the company filing chapter 11 bankruptcy protection next week, so I don't think it will lead to anything permanent.

I also managed to pick up some work for my pal Dianne, so I didn't really have much time to dig up new leads this week.

T-Mobile

My contract expired and I've finally left Sprint. Their "free and clear" plan was neither and Deutsche Telecom's new T-Mobile service offered a really attractive introductory promotion, so I doubled my minutes and saved $20 a month! And as an added bonus, my new GSM phone will work with my british sim card!

Clothing Calamity

After 82 years, Eddie Bauer has turned their back on fairness and customer service. With the publication of their late summer 2002 catalog, released this week, the company started charging extra for tall sizes. They don't charge less for small or extra small sizes so this turn of events basically amounts to discrimination. The double standard in their new pricing structure translates into an 8 to 10% premium for their largest customers.

I'm calling on everyone to contact Eddie Bauer and get them to change their evil ways. For more info about what you can do to reverse this greedy, mean-spirited attack on tall people, click HERE.
