Wicked
I was blest to know Trish in a number of capacities. We met
while working to organize and promote the Wicked Sound System
events in the early 1990s. She moved back to England with
her life partner Alan in 1995 and we lost touch for a while.
A chance encounter
I was living in Herne Hill and hopped on a bus at Brixton
tube station to go home one day. I was shocked to see Alan
get on at the next stop with groceries from the nearby Tescos.
Al and Trish were living in a squat about two streets down
from me, so I helped him carry his bags back to the flat.
I didn't realize that would be the last time I would ever
get to see her. We made plans to see each other again, a week
later at Christmas, but when I went back, they had moved on.
