Andie P. Cotton

I'm deeply saddened by the news that Andie made her transition on October15th 2004 at 9pm. She was surrounded by family and friends and she knew how much she is loved.

Wicked

I was blest to have a variety of connections with Andie. We met through her first husband, Simon, and became friends with each other over the course of many nocturnal dancing adventures.

Santa Cruz Connection

Eventually, she divorced Simon and moved to the Santa Cruz area. She was living in a huge house in Felton with our pal Earth Gurl and I visited them often. E.G. and I moved to England together to do the whole Foxgluv thing. While we were gone, Andie met her hubby Dave.

And Back Again

When they had Dexter, the Cottons decided to raise him in this part of the Bay Area and by the time I returned from England, our paths had crossed again in what would become the last chapter in our time together. I'll cherish our lunches together and our dances together and I'll miss her gentle voice on the phone. I'm glad the pain of her long battle with cancer is finally over, but it's a bittersweet victory for everyone who misses her so much.
