I knew we might get slammed on the door by about 11pm and boy were we ever! I felt bad to see the long queue at midnight but all of the people waiting to get in were very patient with us and we were going as fast as we could to get them all in.

Lillia had to perform at 2am and thankfully things had settled down enough that I felt comfortable on my own. By the time she got back, we saw the first few trickles of people arriving from other parties where they shut the bar.

Eventually I got to boogie a bit and I did get to hear the music all night long. Sunshine Jones (Dub Tribe) did a blend of singing & DJing similar to his set last year, though there were a few technical dificulties this year, it still sounded quite nice. DJs Garth & Jeno came down from San Francisco too and they did a tag-team style set that was a great blend of old and new with both uptempo and more moderate stuff. It's been a while since I've heard either of them play out but it felt a bit like our Wicked days. I don't know which one of them was playing after sunrise but someone seemed to be channeling Harvey for at least half an hour there...

Doc Martin took to the decks again around 10am. I had to stop dancing to take down some of the decorations so they wouldn't need to get a ladder and as usually happens with long nights, the minute I try to relax I start to fade so I left around 11am and the party was still going strong. All in all, a great way to ring in a great '08!
