Family Holiday in Palm Springs
My sister borrowed a vacation home for a week in the Palm Springs area. We had a swimming pool out back, right on a golf course for a week.
 Aunt Joan is "AJ" One of the main reasons for our trip was to spend some time with our Aunt Joan. I had a lot of fun with her in NYC last year and I was really looking forward to seeing her again. We had a great time lounging by the pool and she fussed over us a bit - I guess I've been living on my own too long because I just wasn't used to it, still, it's nice to know she really cares about us.

 Unusual Weather Apparently the week we were there was unseasonably cool. I thought the weather was absolutely lovely - it stayed in the 80's and 90's for most of the week. It rained very late night/early morning but never inturrupted our routine and we saw a wide range of clouds while floating in the pool.

Desert vs. Island After my week in Hawaii, a week in the desert felt almost surreal by comparison. Sure both places have plenty of sunshine and golfers but the people who gravitate to either of those extreme climates and the cultures they create couldn't be more different.
