An Empty Sling

This was such a good metaphor for this year's event. It seemed a lot more tame this year, especially in contrast to the Dore Alley Street Fair last July.

There was a fair bit of controversy from "Christian" groups that objected to the promotional poster for this year's fair. The poster was a parody of the last supper and featured an ecclectic mix of fetishists and drag queens. None of them were local groups which may explain the lack of protesters.

Having Fun @ The Fair

It was so great seeing this couple and their balloons. So many of the leather men get all super serious about their stuff and the politics involved in the "community" and it seems they have forgotten that an event like the Folsom Street Fair is meant to be fun.
