A Student Explains it All
We were a little confused when we first walked in because the work was displayed as the other art in the gallery instead of showing the connections between the work. I heard a guy talking to some people and flagged him down. It turned out that he was one of the students involved in the project being showcased.
I took the above picture of him posing in front of the work he submitted for the contest. All the students involved were flown out to the crash site in Pensylvania. He collaborated with two other students to complete the poster on the right in the photo for submission to the national contest. When they had more time to refine their designs, the students completed a second poster (On the left in the photo above). While none of the Academy of Art student submissions made it to the second round, he said it was an amazing experience and it sounded like a great way to learn about the design/development process. |
