2005 T-Day

This year, I flew down to Long Beach to hang out with my pal Marc before driving to The Real O.C. to spend the day with my twin sister in our hometown, Laguan Beach. Saw my aunt Michelle and uncle Kelly and had so much fun with them that I vowed to return for Christmas.

T-Day In Laguna

So it was really the day before T-day, but no matter - my sister and I got to spend the some time together in the sunshine. We hung out with her little friend Ivy who was born in September (See pic at left) Ivy's companion Olly had lunch with us at Taco Loco and the four of us tooled around through the afternoon.

I ended the day watching the sunset from my uncle Kelly's deck - reconnecting with him and aunt Michelle was so great that I totally put off driving to Palm Springs so I had to do the drive in the dark... oh well, it was super worth it.

T-Day In Palm Springs

I was surprised how quick and easy it is to get from Laguna to Palm Springs. Well, it would be if I actually knew how to do it without getting lost in the dark and driving through who knows where just to circle back to the freeway.

Even though Otis had to work through most of my visit, I did get to hang with V and Angie as I began leisurely preparing myself for the bears.

We had a mostly vegetarian T-day meal with a Mexican theme. Joanne made her famous Seitan Tamales and Coleman made Turkey Tamales for his end of the table. The Gaspacho was great and everyone was so full, we didn't even tap into dessert!

The Bears Are Back In Town...

One of the reasons I went to Palm Springs for T-day was to check out the Lazy Bear Holiday Weekend. It was the first time Harry and Alan have done it outside of Guernville.

Some of you might recognize Bunky from his stint on Big Brother 3. He was in PS for the weekend and my friends and I ran into him at a bar called The Barracks.
