2005 Lazy Bear Weekend I had so much fun camping at last year's Lazy Bear Weekend that I decided to do it again. Puppy and his BF went to SoCal this year, so I was on my own until I got up to Guerneville.

Camping

This year, it seemed like there were a lot more tents at the Willows - and they were bigger this year too. My little friend Shane had a ten person tent all to himself. I'll concede he IS 6ft5 and could probably benefit from some extra room, but it just seemed a bit too exccessive. Maybe like him, the majority of big tent campers were single guys borrowing their tents from family camping co-workers.

As I walked up to the office to check in, I ran into my little pal Eugene from the South Bay and we decided to pitch our tents next to each other. I tried to pick a spot with morning shade but finally settled on a spot with afternoon shade to avoid heating up the tent during the hottest parts of the day.

Tenting

Last year, I borrowed a tent from a coworker. This year, I work at a different job so I bought my tent online. At 9x9 it was big enough to accommodate me and my gear quite well.

A Gay Celebration At one of the pool parties, I saw the gayest tattoo ever (see the pic in the right sidebar) It's a rainbow bar and the boy it belonged to was very nice in posing for pix with me.

Another hyper gay moment came when I stumbled upon this truck kitted out like some mobile VIP room - they even had their own sound system and disco ball.

Reconnecting

It's always so great to catch Pepper Spray at community events. They make the rounds during the street fairs and they always put on a good show. I was rushing over to Fife's pool area to catch their set and was lucky enough to find a couple of the ladies queued up for the loo. For some reason they remembered me even though I was wearing my bear beard disguise.
