2005 HAIRrison Street Fair
I wasn't volunteering this year. My new day job is stressful enough without having to deal with such a huge project eating up so many months of my life. In retrospect, we probably worked out many of the kinks last year and set a template for the whole process. In any case, it seems this event was even more successful than last year. It was bigger, better attended and got great reviews from everyone I've talked to about it. Seems like SF has new fixture on the Street Fair Calendar. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Pool Party
The Bears Gone Wild guys sponsored the pool party on Saturday again this year and they didn't dissappoint. I love their tongue in cheek approach to the whole bear thing - fun fellas that know how to throw a fun party. Once again, Pete had the pool area all decked out on Sunday (Below) For an additional pool party to suppliment the Street Fair.

Anticipation
I was surprised to find the Castro Bear, Harry Lit working a booth to promote his Lazy Bear Weekend extension events. While I can't get away for the three day cruise, I do plan to attend the oddly named Lazy Bear Christmas event in Palm Springs over T-day weekend. I'll be featuring my Lazy GrrrrrrAttitude with the SLO Posse coz they've begun to relocate to the Palm Springs area.
Drag Band
The food was seperated better this year and to entertain the feasting masses, Pete had an entertainment stage in that area. When I strolled through, I found this drag band belting out rock versions of lounge numbers. Very San Francisco. I was glad to see a drag queen actually singing instead of just lip syncing - hope that's a trend but it wasn't enough to keep me hanging round when there were so many bears about...
