2005 Chinese New Year Parade

This year's theme was roosters and chickens. Needless to say, the double entendres were flying all night. The weather was damp but not really raining and it seemed as though the elements conspired to ruin my photo ops. We tried several spots, but couldn't find one with good lighting. It also seemed as if all the contingents rushed right past us just to stop out of range. We picked about five different spots to stop along the route, but each time it was the same thing. Oh well, I did get a few good shots of the floats that had their own lighting and we did enjoy some of the music.

Pre-Parade Dinner

I met up with V-Ness and Otis before the parade. We had an OK meal with lots of Chinese food (Of course). Perhaps this is a new trend for 2005, but it seems I've had a special meal with V-Ness once a month this year.
