Q's Birthday 2005

This year, my birthday fell on a Monday and I had to work at a new day job so I had hoped to do something on the weekend before... but things didn't really pan out. My pal John was going to come to town, but with all of the landslides in his area, he had to be on-call all weekend to cover for his coworkers... My pal Martin and I were going to do something, but then he got the flu so I had to stay away from him because I don't have medical insurance and can't really afford to be sick. Birthdays aren't really a big deal for me so I didn't attempt to go out of my way to do anything special to mark the occasion on the weekend. I think every age has its own beauty and it seems my older friends, pictured below, seem to agree.
