I Didn't Stay Too Long This Year

I watched a few contingents before going down to the Civic Center for the Festival. The parade is something like 4 hours long and much of it seems quite redundant and uninspiring to me.

2004 SF "Pride" Parade Stays Hyper Political

I love the fact that these people march every year to remind us of the Coors Boycott. Now that one of the Coors family has come out and acts as the company's liason to the queer community, many organizations around the country have been tempted to take funding from them. Of course the amount is a small percentage of the funds the company and family donates to ultra right wing groups and radical anti-abortion groups. In the 13 years I've lived in San Francisco, I can't recall a single bar or event that ever served Coors and until things change at the company it looks like the boycott will continue.

Hot Time In The Old Town Tonight

Firefighters from San Francisco and Oakland had contingents this year but it seemed as if there was a larger percentage of female representatives... what happend to the all the guys?

Feeling Safer

My pal Paul started as an EMT before going back to school to become a doctor. I saw this ambulance and wondered if he was somewhere along the parade route cheering loudly for them...
