Pink Saturday
Gilbert Baker is probably best known as the "Gay Betsey
Ross" because he invented the rainbow flag. He also invented
an annual San Francisco tradition called, "Pink Saturday".
Now every night before Freedom Day, the castro is filled with
thousands of people welcoming the lesbians as their Dyke March
wends its way into the neighbourhood. The party goes on well
past midnight and I can usually find a few friends wandering
through the crowd.

Smokin!
I haven't seen my pal Rob in a while and to my shock and
horror, he was smoking a cigarette! Is that what happens when
you keep dating a Frenchman?

Puppy
I think he spent the entire night between the petrol station
and a restaurant called, "Orphan Andy's". When I
snapped this picture he was threatening to leave as soon as
his BF returned from the loo... but I saw them laughing in
almost the same spot ninety minutes later.

Jason
El Diablo
Short people kept bumping into me as I tried to get a picture
of Jason. They got so pushy that I took three shots and as
you can see from the results, the third time is a charm...

James
& Josh
Mad and mysterious (or so they would have you believe) this
dynamic duo was well lubricated on malt liquor and truckloads
of irony. Our time together was brief and maybe a little too
retro, but as usual quite entertaining and enjoyable.

Van
België
Through my wanderings, I ran into a nice Belgian bloke. He
graciously suffered through my elementary Dutch as we searched
out some friends. He seemed to think I know too many people
and I wonder how large Gent actually is if he doesn't know
many people there.
