Burning Man

I've seen the scuba dude at a lot of BM events throughout the years. The How Weird crowd seemed quite populated with BM veterans.

A Brand New Street Faire

The name, 'How Weird' seems to be a play on the word 'Howard', but it describes the crowd quite well.

Weird is so subjective

As I milled about the crowd, finding friends and freaks in equal measure, it became more and more apparent that no matter how bizare the outfit, it all just seemed so normal. A few people rebuked me for not being more creative in my ensemble, but I'm weird enough on the inside. I don't need to prove it to anyone.

Some photo highlights

I kept my camera in my pocket to capture a few highlights of the faire.

 FOXY FOOD
The Foxies and I found some food and enjoyed a snack with our wander.

 DANCING
One of the dance areas had the dex all decked out like a giant radio.

 MONKEY AROUND
There were quite a few rabbit and bunny costumes in various stages of manifestation but I thought this Police Monkey deserved a snapshot coz it seemed a bit 'weird'

 DRONNING ON

This guy was quite annoying, but I think that was his point. He had a speaker on his head and with vocal modulation and echo effects, he created an aural annoyance every where he wandered.

 KID ON SKATES
It's great to see kids at these types of events, especially when they're fearless enough to express themselves so vividly.

 KID ON LUNCH
In an outfit this cute, you know the kid wearing it has to be special. I couldn't hear what her name is, but she told Neysa that she picked out her ensemble herself.
