Working the Street - 2003

While I found loads of familiar faces in the crowd and talked to tonnes of friends all day, I only seemed to get photos of a few of them. Some people like DJ Buck and his GF Julia disappeared into the crowd as new people walked up to get my attention. Other people, like Tom Teare didn't seem to photograph very well and I love them too much to post bad photos on the site. He seems to have a weird thing about cameras at the Castro Street Fair... A lot of times however, I just simply forgot about the camera in my pocket and enjoyed some engaging conversations.

Bob Webb

It's always a treat to run into Bob Webb. He's furloughed from United Airlines until 2007 so he's been keeping busy with work as a general contractor. His BF was all busy chatting away to some guys behind us, so it gave Bob and Irwin a chance to discover they have a LOT in common.

My Pal Eddie

He travels so much for work that I never know when or if he'll turn up, but it's always nice to run into my little pal Eddie. He's only 6ft5, but still easy enough to spot in a crowd. Apparently he's got to go back to the London office to work for three weeks later in the month, lucky sod, so dunno if I'll get to hang out with him before then. At least he hung up the phone long enough to share a few bon mots before diving back into the crowd.

No matter how tall some of my friends are, standing next to me seems to make them look rather short...
