Castro Street Fair

This year, I had a really great time. The shadow of a new war was no match for great weather and a festive atmosphere. Last year, Bush began bombing Afgahnistan so his oil pals can build a pipeline through it.

Hey, there's that tall guy!

These guys live in Sacramento and they came down for the Folsom Street Fair last week. This weekend, they were hanging out in the city again and they spotted me. Larry (lft) is a photographer and David (rt) is a web designer. They've got a cool website if you've got the time to check it out...

Hey, I know you!

I love running into friends old and new at these large scale events. Here are just a few of the characters I ran into on the street...Some Castro Street Fair friends

Hey! That's entertaining?

I waited about an hour for Puppy and Roger. It gave me a chance to people watch and enjoy some of the mainstage "entertainment". I don't understand why the organizers don't replace the mainstage on Market Street with a dancing area. That would free up the car park on 18th street for the tranny's to lip-sync. If they did that, they could have the latin "entertainment" on the 18th street stage like they did last year. The way they presented it this year, I did my best to ignore it all and just hang out with friends.

Goldmember

I found the crowd to be the most entertaining thing about this years fair. I found this couple wandering around. They probably thought this event was going to be more like last week's. I wish Mike Myer's movie was as silly as this guy's ensemble. I'm not sure if you can see it, coz monitor resolution is different for everyone, but he's got some kind of gold foil wrapped around his chest and genitals and he's wearing sheer black pants and gold nail varnish. I asked if I could snap a photo and the GF instantly crouched down. Either he's trained her well, or they got photographed constantly all day...
