Jazzy TrumpetStreet Beats in the heat

New Orleans has a reputation as the birthplace of Jazz, but don't tell any of the gay bars or they might have to switch formats. I'm surprised to find them STILL sloughing off the billboard hot 100 dance tracks. Even the out of towners played canned sets that didn't reflect the heritage or local culture. I wish Pal Joey could DJ at one of the gay dance bars on Bourbon Street. His jazz style house groove would go down a storm with some of these musicians...

Last year was my first time.


While I had a really nice time in New Orleans, I now look back on the experience and cherish it more deeply because I got to spend every day there with my friend Mark.
