Eddie and his amazingly short BF Jeff, drove out to NOLA from Texas. Eddie's about 7ft tall. Jeff objects to being called amazingly short because he's 6ft2, but next to Eddie and I, he IS amazingly short. It was really great to hang out with someone that's Q-sized too. They were drinking those hand grenade touristy drinks the first day I saw them, so I didn't spend too much time with them. This pic was taken the second time I saw them, Saturday night, we did the fruit loop for a while (St. Anne's and Bourbon Streets where the gay bars are.) They parked near my hotel so I walked with them through the Quarter and was surprised to find the absence of stupid comments. People got out of our way rather quickly too...
While dancing in the afternoon on Saturday, I met Donnie (On the right in this pic). He was looking for a third to play with his boy-du-jour, and apparently I was in the running until I told them I don't do three-ways (anymore). I saw Donnie again on Monday, about half way through a bottle of vodka. He was over by my hotel hitting on some straight girl. I took him to a restaurant and tried to get some food in him, but he wanted to finish his bottle. I was trying to get him back to the gay area of the French Quarter where he could at least steer clear of overtly unscrupulous people. He was calling every stranger on the street "cap'n" or "princess"... He was calling ME princess when he busts out with, "Do you have any hair gel?" I was laughing really hard as he then took over a corner of a shop window, using his reflection in it to primp his hair. I managed to steer him to Walgreen's so he could get some gel and Duncan and Chuck from SF came strolling up après diner. Duncan helped me steer Donnie into Oz. The professionals there were more equipped to deal with a 6ft4 ex-footballer after a huge bottle of vodka. Can't get decadent enough? |
