The Amusement park was open until midnight so even though they trucked in a giant mirror ball on a crane, there wasn't much dancing going on while Blackstone DJed in front of the double decker carousel The park closed down at midnight so everyone had to concentrate around the Pavilion area. Til about 2am the Pavilion's dance action reached full throttle. I don't know what it was like after that because we drove back to The City.
I had Puppy and Ian in stitches doing my Austin Powers routine, talking about the party's "lasers"
It felt like a full-on rave but the gay kids call them "Circuit Parties". Just don't tell Red Bull or they may stop bringing their UV lights and glowing sculptures and tents. They reserve them for commercial raves these days. Like most raves that I go to, there was a 22 year old boy hitting on me. He claimed to have only imbibed "a half a glass of wine" so I left him with his friends... he was cute though so I gave him my number. I figure if he remembers me and is brave enough to call, I'll give him a chance. If not, he's too young for me anyway. |
