2001 Events: Folsom Street Fair

Rob and Christian on Folsom StreetThe boy du jour is still the same!

Apparently I met Rob's BF Christian a few months ago. They usually just cycle through so I don't pay much attention to them. I call and check in with Rob periodically and Christian's name has been in the mix with ever-increasing frequency. I didn't really believe Rob when he claimed he wanted this one to stay. Judging by the matching collars and the lead, I'd say he is pretty serious about keeping Christian around for a while. I hope they enjoy many more Folsom Street Fairs together. As for Rob and I, we met at 8th and Folsom, three fairs ago...

Officer Scott off-dutyOff duty and ready to party!

It was nice running into officer Scott again. I haven't seen him since SF Pride™ last June. I'm sure things have been a bit hectic for government employees lately. Scott said he was glad to have the day off to enjoy the sunshine and the street fair...

Danny NicolettaDanny set this one up

I wanted to snap a quick pic of my pal Danny Nicoletta, but the famous photographer wouldn't allow it until he and his new BF moved into partial shade to avoid the glare of the more direct sunlight. Danny is another one of my friends that I haven't seen since June. This time, he didn't have his camera with him and he was just off-duty like officer Scott, enjoying the festivities.

Jason El DiabloThe party is over (again)

I always seem to run into Jason El Diablo as I'm leaving a big "community" event or at mellow, private parties. His look is constantly in flux, but seeing the Mohawk, I'd say the 80's retro thing is dead and the punk revival is in full swing!...

It's difficult to find nice people these days.
