Lookin' for action on Folsom Street The DJ line-up was the weakest it's been in years. It's so obvious that the organizers would rather concentrate on the rock-n-roll stage, but even that didn't have the Marquee names as in years' past. They do a poor job of advertising the acts, so I don't know if their bigger acts cancelled. In any case, just tooling around the streets was entertaining enough.
I wish they would have signs with the band's name on them so the audience could tell who they are. These ladies were the best official entertainment I heard all day. They were on the variety stage (their sound is sorta trip-hop) and the fact that they performed at about 1pm means they're local and relatively obscure. They could really benefit from the exposure of a gig like this. I loved their set, anyone know who they are?...
While not as inventive as the promotional team for ToysForTops.com, these straight kids were still out there in the heat, workin' it. They were promoting The Power Exchange. It's a straight "swingers" club. Such a modern concept, I don't know why they're dressed like opera stars, but straight people are strange like that I suppose...
This
guy was going non-stop for most of the day. He was spinning many hula
hoops simultaneously. I think they were covered in leather, though I can't
be sure... Considering the theme of the event, they should be covered
in leather... |
