Doe
See Doe yer pardner
There
was a virtual cavalcade of "entertainment" at this year's Castro
Street Fair. The queer folk dancer's booth was sort of deserted. When
I asked where the dancers were, the lady pointed down the row at a little
country and western booth further along the row. All the dancers had on
similar ensembles, each representing a different colour of the rainbow.
It was fun watching them dance, but it bored Puppy, so we didn't stay
long.

Fascinating
Rhythm
This
was a jazz band that performed early on the main stage. I wish I knew
who they were, they sounded really nice. Maybe a bit too mellow, to hang
out just for that, but Puppy's new BF had to wait for his friends, so
we loitered and listened. The next act was some rock and roll chick with
really loud feedback and screeching guitars. It was so disturbing we had
to leave that area of Market Street half way through her opening number...
Puppy
found a friend
While
we were waiting for his BF's buddies, Puppy found a friend of his own.
Their were two little guys on long red leads. Their owner said they were
a mix of about three things that I can't remember right now, but as you
can see from these pix, they were so cute. Apparently they were a little
tired and ready for a cuddle...

Circuit
Queens follow their favourite DJs around and get together with their
friends to dance in silly costumes. Ravers and Gavers do the same
thing. Square dancers add a little twist, they don't dance to pre-recorded
music. Instead, They follow their favourite callers around and get
together with their friends to dance in silly costumes.
