We discovered this little stage on a side street. The two women were doing some sort of Chinese opera thing. It was a lot less dramatic than the Korean shows they have on channel 52 where everyone flies around the house, singing and fighting... I guess the small stage had something to do with it. I was most impressed with the full band that was playing just in front of the stage. They were all sitting down and I didn't even notice them until they stopped playing and stood up. If I had know the music was live, I would have tried to get a picture for you... |

Larissa Lam was near another stage. I think she had already performed before we got there. Larissa Lam is world famous for her involvement with the re-born Christian music series, Nitro Praise. Some of you may know the series was at the vanguard of the "rave for Jesus" movement that the evangelical churches started propagating when they realized that their "rock for Jesus" campaign was outdated. V-ness thinks she's trying to cross over to the more pop oriented Asian market. |

Street musicians were playing all around the street fair. We saw this one on our way to eat lunch. It looked like she was playing a giant dulcimer, but it didn't have the same striking tones, she used her fingers to glide over the strings and warble the notes. |
