Winter Solstice

To celebrate the turning on the season and the renewal of the light, we honor the Winter Solstice.

This year, I attended a pagan drumming circle in South Park. It was pretty fun, I usually don't go for such overt hippy style stuff, but I like to try new things and I had a great time.

House is more my style

Roy Davis Jr. did a track with Peven Everett on vocals that came out when I lived in London. We got it over there on a bootleg and I know remixes came out on XLRecords, but I've never seen the original mix. It's called Gabriel and I think it's the perfect song for the Winter Solstice. He's set it up in triplets and the trumpet samples are restrained enough to be extremely powerful. Here's the first part of the lyric:
