A Disco Whore is ready to roarYou Make Me Feel Like Dancin'

There were only a few disco whores ready to roar the whole weekend. The music situation leads me to believe that they don't really have a good record store in New Orleans...

The Bourbon Street Pub played about 4 or 5 songs in a row that were all about 6 years old, so I walked down St Anne's street and the next bar along, Good Friends (not Good Fellows) was playing a song that was about 12 years old ("Elevation -move your body higher" by X-pansions) The retro thing was working in the heat, especially when I heard them play a Scrappy and the Box Boys tune (late 80s acid house trax) further down St Anne's at a bar called The Rawhide, NOT the Rawhole as some drunks would have you believe!

My friend Flynn and his BFHey, I've seen you before

When I saw the shirts in the crowd I thought it was a couple of Newcastle supporters (Go Magpies!)... but it turned out to be my old friend Flynn from San Francisco. He moved to New Orleans about 6 months ago.

I was also surprised to see my pal Tim wandering the streets of New Orleans. I'm bummed the picture of us, didn't really turn out. But there's always next year...
