Turbulent Transitions
The late 70's and early 80's saw a rift occur in the parental
units which gave Quartknee.com an opportunity for greater
autonomy. When Dadco was spun off the parent company, it's
stock plummeted drastically.
Quartknee.com was a major share holder and the fiscal impact
of this event was felt for the remainder of the decade as
Quartknee.com buckled down and focused on growing our core
competencies.
A
re-org and new roots
1987 saw the remaining subsidiaries spun off. With the dissolution
of all ties to the parental unit, Quartknee.com relocated
our headquarters to San Francisco. The next year saw a deepening
of relations with Kearco. This was highlighted by a major
stock swap before Kearco moved their Headquarters to Australia
to take advantage of the sunnier business climate over there.
Throughout the 1990's, Quartknee.com continued to grow and
reorganize internal structures
In 1995, we downsized our San Francisco operation, to establish
a European Office in London, England (Sarf Lundun Bwai)
Early 1998 saw Quartknee.com refocus efforts in San Francisco
and establish a toehold in new markets. As the new century
dawned, quarterly profits saw an all time record, as our margins
were thick on most offerings. Economic conditions made a drastic
reversal after the country was taken over by an extreme right-wing,
fundamentalist, cold-war era junta bent on the desctruction
of the natural environment and the errosion of civil liberties.
The future is uncertain for much of the planet, but everyone
here at Quartknee.com is confident that the oil-oligarchy
will be overcome and peace and prosperity will once again
reign.

Kearco Update
The company never established much of a toe-hold down under
and retreated back to the big apple after a year.
In the mid-90s, Kearco re-organized and began concentrating
operations in Southern California. After a few years, Kearco
was a prime acquisition target. The year 1997 saw Kearco complete
a merger deal with a Rugg Company and it's stock skyrocketed.
